Beginners Yoga with Helen
Iyengar yoga teacher
Class lasts for 1 hour. Mondays 8-9pm Wednesday 6.30-7.30pm and 8 -9pm
We will practice a different sequence of yoga postures (asana) every week, usually a mix of gentle and active asana, we often learn individual asana and sometimes we practice them in a flow. Some weeks we practice pranayama. We often use props to help adapt yoga poses so they are suitable for our individual bodies- for example if you’re not able to fold forwards and put hands on the floor we would use blocks for your hands.
Yoga philosophy is built into how we practice postures, relaxation etc.
Every class begins with a short meditation and ends with relaxation.
Invitation to try your first class free and then book for a block of 6 for £36

Workshop lasts 90 minutes ( 1 and half hrs) check website for dates/times
A holistic fitness class for women which incorporates yoga, fitness, meditation and dance to offer you a truly unique and powerful experience.
Introduction to Bellyfit Workshop lasts for 90 Minutes with an extended meditation(usual bellyfit class is 60 minutes)
Bellyfit is for all fitness levels and abilities. Because the ethos of the class is to empower women to love and care for their bodies through movement, there are no expectations to have dance skills, and Bellyfit is so fun that you wont even notice what an amazing workout your body has had.
The pace varies throughout the class, and runs seamlessly through 7 main parts. Opening mediation and breath work, warmup, Cardio, Cool down, Isolation (where we focus on a specific movement) core and stretch and finishing Mudra and mediation.
Each class has a different focus and soundtrack, unique to Bellyfit classes. I teach a routine for 3 weeks before allowing you to try out something new, keeping it fresh and interesting , but at the same time building up your confidence in the regular bellyfit moves.

Ashtanga Yoga with Vicky
Monday 6.15 - 7.45pm
£10/class
My Ashtanga class at Yoga Station lasts 1.5 hours. This allows time to practice a fixed series of dynamic postures (asana) linked with flowing movements (vinyasas), focusing on breath and internal locks (bandhas) and concludes with vital time to rest and restore (savasana). Classes are generally led, but self practice (Mysore) is welcomed for those familiar with the series.
Ashtanga yoga is traditionally not demonstrated by the teacher - you are shown the posture by physical adjustments and being talked through it - but where necessary I demonstrate!
All you need to bring along is patience and an open mind. Don’t worry about what you or your postures look like (there are no mirrors or judgement in my class) there is truly no “best” way to do a pose, just the best way for you on any given day.
My aim as a Yoga teacher is to provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where all students can learn about Ashtanga Yoga and what it can do for them, whoever they are and whatever stage of life they are at. Hopefully you will feel nurtured and supported in your experience and find the balance Yoga can bring to your body and mind.

Slow Flow with Lucy
Friday 6pm- 7.15pm
Covering Stacey's maternity leave Wednesday 5-6pm
My classes last 60mins on Wednesdays while covering Stacey’s class for the time being (5-6pm) and 75mins on Friday evenings (6pm-7:15pm).
My Slow Flow yoga style combines slower movement with breath awareness to build strength, mobility, and flexibility. Despite being slow, the flow is dynamic in its own way.
Many people who come to the class already have some experience with the physical practice of yoga asanas (poses), and while going slow means that the classes are suitable for people with different amount of experience, it may not be suitable for complete beginners. However, anyone with an open and playful mindset, who prefers a stronger asana practice and is also interested in integrating bits of yoga philosophy and pranayama practice into their daily lives is welcome. What my students have said they value most is the slow, yet dynamic movement combined with assists and modifications, which makes the sessions more tailored to their needs.
The class normally includes settling in, an opening meditation/relaxation, warm-up, the main sequence, and a cool down, most often ending with relaxation in Savasana and pranayama practice.
Prices of classes vary from £7.50 with a package to £10 for a drop-in class.

Pregnancy Pilates with Amy from Willow Body
1 hour class Tuesday 7.30 – 8.30pm
We begin with an introduction to you and your growing bump (you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with). We’re a supportive group, sharing stories, experiences and discussing anything on your mind.
The class then starts with Alignment, Breathing and Activation of your core (ABC). We follow this with a series of movements, pelvic floor exercises and finally some relaxation. By the end of the class, you will feel lengthened, relaxed and energised. Furthermore, you'll find this a great opportunity to meet like-minded 'mums-to-be' (and take much-needed time out from your busy life)!
Workouts are low impact putting minimal stress on joints, making them ideal prenatal women.
Pilates is a form of exercise which focuses on maintaining strength and promoting correct posture, whilst preparing the body for childbirth. The functional moves during our classes are designed to foster mental and physical wellbeing during your pregnancy.
The class is booked in 6 week blocks for £48 or drop in (Need to be prebooked if space allows) for £9

Vinyasa Flow with Stacey (currently on maternity leave, class covered by Lucy)
Class lasts for 1 hour Wednesday 5-6pm.
200hrs Yoga Alliance Hatha and Vinyasa Teacher trained in Rishikesh
This is an active Yoga Flow - all levels are welcome but basic level of fitness or some understanding of yoga poses is helpful.
I like to highlight the importance of yogic philosophies within my classes, so there is always intention and connection behind them.
We work towards some challenging poses, but have fun doing it - building our strength and flexibility, but more importantly creating a space where we can connect to each other in a community space, as well as connect to ourselves. We do this through our movements and breath (asana and pranayama) and classes also always begin with a meditation and end with a relaxation.
Classes are £7 or £40 for a block of 6 and booking via Namastacey Yoga (Facebook) @namastacey.yoga (insta) or you can call me directly on 07815723202
