My name is Clare and I am a registered nurse working with children and young people both in schools and in the community.
I enjoy swimming and cycling and plan to take part in my first Triathlon in May. I am also a keen runner and have completed many racing events over the years. I discovered Pilates whilst marathon training and initially found that it helped me to train more efficiently and avoid injuries too. I also found that practicing Pilates had a pronounced beneficial effect on my mental wellbeing. I am passionate about the benefits of Pilates to both the body and mind and feel excited to have completed my instructor training and can’t wait to share my practice with you all.

So, what do I plan to offer?
A mindful, positive approach to Pilates, focusing on breath, flow, strength and mobility. You may wish to improve posture, prevent injury, improve concentration or boost self esteem and mental well-being. This class is open to all abilities, I welcome everyone, no matter what your goal may be. You may be a complete beginner who is curious about trying Pilates, in this case we will start at entry level which will enable you to learn the fundamentals of Pilates. You will progress safely at a pace that suits you as an individual. You may already attend Pilates classes or have done in the past, that’s great too, I use a layering method giving all participants a level that you feel comfortable with, whether that is entry level or improvers. There is something for everyone.
